Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2017396  Size: SH
  1. Lift the rear window shelf trim battery access panel (1) upwards to gain access to the battery.
  2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Remove the battery negative cable to battery terminal retaining nut (2).
  4. Important: Clean any existing corrosion from the battery negative terminal (1) and the battery negative cable (3).

  5. Remove the battery negative cable (3) from the battery negative terminal (1).

  6. Object Number: 2020805  Size: SH
  7. Remove the battery negative cable to chassis retaining bolt (2).
  8. Remove the battery negative cable (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2020805  Size: SH
  1. Install the battery negative cable (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the battery negative cable to chassis retaining bolt (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

    Important: Clean any existing corrosion from the battery negative terminal (1) and the battery negative cable (3).

  5. Install the battery negative cable (3) to the battery negative terminal (1).
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Install the battery negative cable to battery negative terminal retaining nut (2).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

  9. Close the rear window shelf trim battery access panel (1).
