The instrument cluster will display the service condition of the vehicle on the Multi Function Display (MFD). Activation of the Service Reminder Display is determined on the current odometer value and value of the next service interval. The three possible states of the display are as follows:
The MFD shows a reminder 1000 km before a service is due. The service interval becoming due is displayed on the MFD, and only the spanner in the icon flashes. This service reminder is displayed for up to 10 seconds whenever the ignition is switched ON or OFF. This will occur until the service reminder is cleared from the display using the TRIP or ENTER steering wheel switches or until the service reminder is reset.
When a service is overdue by less than 5000 km, the MFD shows a flashing icon for up to 10 seconds when the ignition is switched ON or OFF. This will occur until the service reminder is cleared from the display using the TRIP or ENTER steering wheel switches or until the service reminder is reset.
When a service is overdue by more than 5000 km, the MFD shows a flashing icon for up to 10 seconds whenever the ignition is switched ON or OFF. This will occur until the service reminder is cleared from the display using the TRIP or ENTER steering wheel switches or until the service reminder is reset. This event is permanently logged in the instrument cluster memory (EEPROM).
The displayed service reminder is reset using the scan tool or by the following procedure:
Important: A confirmation beep will sound upon reset.
Important: If the service reminder comes back on when you start the vehicle, the Service Reminder Display has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
