For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .
- Loosen the door hinge to pillar retaining bolts (1).
- Tighten the door hinge to pillar retaining bolts (1).
- Reposition the door as needed.
- Position the door fore or aft at the hinge pillar.
- Position the door to the body side with the specifications shown.
- Tighten the door hinge to pillar retaining bolts (1).
- Verify the doors are flush to within 3.5 mm, with a flushing magnet located in the striker area below the beltline.
- Install the fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .
- If in or out adjustment is needed, loosen the door hinge to door retaining bolts (1).
- Tighten the door hinge to door retaining bolts (1).
- Reposition the door as needed.
- Position the door in or out at the door hinge.
- Tighten the door hinge to door retaining bolts (1).
- Verify door header at the center pillar is flush to within 3.5 mm. Adjust the door header if necessary.
- Adjust the lock striker. Refer to Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
- Verify all door gaps are within specifications.
Important: DO NOT remove the door hinge to pillar retaining bolts (1)
Important: DO NOT fully tighten the door hinge to pillar retaining bolts (1).

| • | (C) 5 mm (0.20 in). |

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 28 N-m (21 lb ft).
Important: DO NOT remove the door hinge to door retaining bolts (1)

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 28 N-m (21 lb ft).
