Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the centre console side trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the centre console end panel. Refer to Center Console End Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the centre console armrest assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Armrest Replacement .
  4. Remove the centre console trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the centre console cupholder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 1957185 Size: SH

    Important: Steps 6 to 10 are carried out on the right side of the centre console.

  6. Remove the centre console retaining screws (3).
  7. Remove the rear centre console retaining bolt (4).
  8. Remove the park recess tray retaining screws (1).
  9. Detach the park recess tray retaining clip (2).

  10. Loosen the centre console to park brake assembly bracket retaining bolts (1).

    11. Object Number: 1957191 Size: SH

    Important: Steps 11 to 16 are carried out on the left side of the centre console.

  11. Remove the rear centre console retaining bolt (2).
  12. Remove the centre console retaining screws (3).
  13. Remove the coin holder retaining screws (1).
  14. Detach the coin holder retaining clip (4).

  15. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch retaining torx screw (3).
  16. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch (2).
  17. Loosen the centre console retaining bolts (1).

    18. Object Number: 2009731 Size: SH
  18. Remove the coin holder upper retaining screws (5).
  19. Remove the coin holder (1) from the centre console (3).
  20. Remove the park brake recess tray upper retaining screw (2).
  21. Remove the park brake recess tray (4) from the centre console (3).

  22. Remove the top centre console retaining screws (1).

    23. Object Number: 1957196 Size: SH
  23. Remove the lower centre console retaining screws (1).

    24. Object Number: 2009732 Size: SH
  24. Disconnect the centre console electrical connectors (1 and 3).
  25. Detach the centre console electrical connectors (4 and 2) from the centre console (5).

    26. Object Number: 1957199 Size: SH
  26. Remove the centre console (1) from the vehicle.

    27. Object Number: 1957202 Size: SH
  27. Remove the adjuster circlip (2) from the park brake adjuster (3).

    28. Important: Rotate the park brake adjuster (3) counter clockwise to remove the park brake adjuster (3) from the retaining nut insert (1).

  28. Remove the park brake adjuster (3) from the park brake assembly (4).
  29. Remove the park brake adjuster retaining nut insert (1) from the park brake assembly (4).

    30. Important:  If replacing the park brake assembly. Refer to Parking Brake Release Handle Assembly Replacement .

  30. Remove the park brake assembly (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1957202 Size: SH
  1. Align the park brake assembly (4) with the transmission tunnel.
  2. Install the park brake adjuster nut insert (1) to the park brake assembly (4).

    3. Important: Install the park brake adjuster (3) to the park brake assembly (4) by rotating clockwise until the desired tension is reached.

  3. Install the park brake adjuster (3) to the park brake assembly (4).
  4. Install the park adjuster circlip (2) to the park brake assembly (4).
  5. Align the centre console over the park brake assembly.

  6. Attach the centre console electrical connectors (4 and 2) to the centre console (5).
  7. Connect the centre console electrical connectors (1 and 3).
  8. Install the centre console cup holder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .

    9. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1957196 Size: SH
  9. Install the lower centre console retaining screws (1).

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 1957195 Size: SH
  10. Install the upper centre console retaining screws (1).

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 2009731 Size: SH
  11. Install the coinholder (1) to the centre console (3).
  12. Install the coinholder upper retaining screws (5).

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  13. Install the park brake recess trim (4) to the centre console (3).
  14. Install the park brake recess trim upper retaining screw (2).

    15. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

    Important: Steps 15 to 21 are carried out on the left side of the centre console.

  15. Install the park brake warning lamp switch (2).
  16. Install the park brake warning lamp switch retaining torx screw (3).

    17. Tighten
    Tighten the torx screw to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  17. Tighten the centre console to park brake assembly retaining bolts (1).

    18. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25  N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1957191 Size: SH
  18. Install the rear centre console retaining bolt (2).

    19. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25  N·m (18 lb ft).

  19. Install the centre console retaining screws (3).

    20. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  20. Attach the coinholder lower retaining clip (4).
  21. Install the coinholder lower retaining screws (1).

    22. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

    Important: Steps 22 to 26 are carried out on the right side of the centre console.

  22. Tighten the centre console to park brake assembly retaining bolts (1).

    23. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25  N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1957185 Size: SH
  23. Install the centre console retaining screws (3).

    24. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  24. Attach the park brake recess lower retaining clip (2).
  25. Install the park brake recess lower retaining screws (1).

    26. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  26. Tighten the rear centre console retaining bolt (4).

    27. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25  N·m (18 lb ft).

  27. Install the centre console cupholder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .
  28. Install the centre console trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement .
  29. Install the centre console armrest assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Armrest Replacement .
  30. Install the centre console end panel. Refer to Center Console End Panel Replacement .
  31. Install the centre console side trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
