Important: The following steps must be completed before using the symptom tables.

  1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle before using the Symptom tables in order to verify that there are no DTCs set.
  2. Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Exterior Lighting Systems Description and Operation and Interior Lighting Systems Description and Operation .

Visual/Physical Inspection

    • Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Power Sunroof System.
    • Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.

Symptom List

Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:

    •  Backup Lamps Inoperative
    •  Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative
    •  Dome Lamps Inoperative
    •  Hazard Lamps Inoperative
    •  Headlamp Low or High Beams Always On
    •  Headlight Leveling Inoperative
    •  Rear Compartment Lamp Inoperative
    •  Stop Lamps Always On
    •  Stop Lamps Inoperative
    •  Turn Signal Lamps and/or Indicators Inoperative
    •  Headlamps-On Reminder Chime Inoperative
    •  Low Beams Inoperative
    •  High Beams Inoperative
    •  Low and High Beams Inoperative
    •  Parking Lamps and Taillamps Inoperative
    •  High Mount Stop Lamp Inoperative
    •  Front Fog Lamps Inoperative
    •  Instrument Panel Illumination Lamps Inoperative
    •  Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamps
    •  Turn Signal Switch Does Not Stay in Turn Position
    •  Turn Signal Switch Does Not Cancel
    •  Turn Signal Switch Difficult to Operate
    •  Turn Signal Does Not Indicate Lane Change
    •  Turn Signal Lamp Inoperative
