Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1962455 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor 2 connector.
  3. Disconnect the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure hoses.
  4. Remove the DPF assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1962455 Size: SH

    Important: If replace the particulate filter with a new one, reset the DPF EEPROM values using the scan tool.

  1. Install the DPF assembly.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the DPF retaining nuts to 30 N·m (22.1 lb ft).

  2. Connect the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor 2 connector.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
