Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1860056 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  3. Remove the input speed sensor electrical connector (3) from the input speed sensor.

    4. Object Number: 1860072 Size: SH
  4. Remove the input speed sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the input speed sensor from the transaxle.
  6. Remove the input speed sensor O-ring. Discard the O-ring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1860072 Size: SH
  1. Apply the transaxle fluid to the new input speed sensor O-ring.
  2. Install the new input speed sensor O-ring onto the input speed sensor.
  3. Install the input speed sensor to the transaxle.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the input speed sensor bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the input speed sensor bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the input speed sensor.
  6. Install the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
