Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1860056 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  3. Remove the output speed sensor electrical connector (4) from the output speed sensor.

  4. Remove the output speed sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the output speed sensor from the transaxle.
  6. Remove the output speed sensor O-ring. Discard the O-ring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1860075 Size: SH
  1. Apply the transaxle fluid to the new output speed sensor O-ring.
  2. Install the new output speed sensor O-ring onto the input speed sensor.
  3. Install the output speed sensor to the transaxle.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the output speed sensor bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the output speed sensor bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (4) to the output speed sensor.
  6. Install the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
