Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1701072 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector.

    3. Object Number: 1701073 Size: SH
  3. Remove the CKP sensor retaining bolt.
  4. Gently rotate and remove the CKP sensor from the engine block.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1701072 Size: SH
  1. Insert the CKP sensor into the engine block.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the CKP sensor retaining bolt and tighten to 6.5 N·m (57 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1701073 Size: SH
  3. Connect the CKP sensor connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
