Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. Lower the crossmember slightly in order to access the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 1290593 Size: SH
  4. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.
  6. Remove the insulator.
  7. Clean the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1290593 Size: SH

    Note: There must be no grease or dirt on the stabilizer shaft. Verify the stabilizer shaft is clean.

  1. Install the insulator to the stabilizer shaft.
  2. Install the clamp to the insulator.

    3. Note: Do not tighten the bolts yet.

  3. Install the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts.
  4. Raise and install the crossmember. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement.
  5. Raise and support the front lower control arms with jacks.

    6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  7. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  8. Remove the jacks.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
