Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1376107 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the transmission control module (TCM) electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1376108 Size: SH
  3. Remove the TCM retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the TCM.

Installation Procedure

    Note: After replacing the TCM, refer to Transmission Control Module Programming and Setup to ensure the module has the latest calibrations.

  1. Connect the negative battery cable.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the TCM retaining bolts and tighten to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1376107 Size: SH
  3. Connect the TCM electrical connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
