Circuit | Short to Ground | Open/High Resistance | Short to Voltage | Signal Performance |

IMT Valve Control Circuit | P0660 | P0660 | P0660 | -- |
* The engine cranks but does not run and opens the fuse that supplies voltage to the IMT valve solenoid. |
An ignition 1 voltage is supplied directly to the intake manifold tuning (IMT) valve solenoid or variable geometry induction system (VGIS). The engine control module (ECM) controls the IMT valve solenoid by grounding the control circuit via an internal driver switch. The primary function of the driver is to supply ground for the IMT valve solenoid. The ECM can determine if the control circuit is open, shorted to ground, or shorted to a voltage by monitoring the voltage on the control circuit.
• | The engine is running. |
• | The ignition 1 voltage is more than 10 volts. |
• | DTC P0660 runs continuously once the above condition is met. |
The ECM detects an open or short to ground or voltage on the control circuit of the IMT valve solenoid.
DTC P0660 is a Type C DTC.
DTC P0660 is a Type C DTC.

⇒ | If less than B+, repair the ignition 1 voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. Replace the fuse, if necessary. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to ground. If circuit tests normal, replace the ECM. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If circuit tests normal, replace the ECM. |
