Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement Five Door

Warning: Refer to Title not found in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
3. Remove the lower garnish molding from the hatchback door.
4. Remove the bolts and the rear wiper motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connector.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the wiper motor with the bolts and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
3. Install the lower garnish molding to the hatchback door.
4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement Wagon

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
3. Remove the liftgate trim cover.
4. Remove the bolts and the rear wiper motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connector.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the wiper motor with the bolts and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
3. Install the liftgate trim cover.
4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
