Rear Fog Lamp Replacement VXR8
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to
Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Remove the rear fog lamp bulb. Refer to
Rear Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement.
- Remove the rear fog lamp housing to fog lamp bracket
retaining screws (1).
- Remove the remaining rear fog lamp bracket to rear
bumper fascia retaining screws (1).
- Remove the rear fog lamp bracket (2) from the rear bumper fascia (3).
Important: The rear fog lamp housing (1) must
only be removed from the outward side of the rear bumper fascia (2).
Important: Apply pressure to the rear fog lamp housing (1)
to dislodge it from its locating position within the rear bumper fascia (2)
disengaging the retention clips (3) in the same movement.
- Disengage the rear fog lamp housing (1) from
the rear bumper fascia (2).
Installation Procedure
Important: The rear fog lamp housing (1) must
only be installed from the outward side of the rear bumper fascia (2).
Important: Apply pressure to the rear fog lamp housing (1)
to engage it into its locating position within the rear bumper fascia (2).
Important: Ensure the retention clips (3) are
correctly engaged.
- Install the rear fog lamp housing (1) to the
rear bumper fascia (2).
- Install the rear fog lamp bracket (2) onto
the rear bumper fascia (3).
- Install the rear fog lamp bracket to rear bumper fascia retaining
screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.0 Nm (18 lb in).
- Install the rear fog lamp housing to fog lamp bracket
retaining screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.0 Nm (18 lb in).
- Install the rear fog lamp bulb. Refer to
Rear Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement.
- Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to
Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
