IPC Replacement
Important: The original odometer reading, together with
other important vehicle parameters, must be programmed into the replacement instrument
cluster. If a replacement cluster has been fitted to a vehicle it will require programming,
the vehicle type must be selected followed by the country and then the engine type.
The engine type is required only for some countries and this is highlighted below.
If the instrument panel cluster (IPC) is replaced, the following procedures
must be performed in the order shown:
- Odometer reprogramming.
Important: The IPC variant configuration must be correct
or the performance of the EBCM will be reduced.
- Variant configuration.
- IPC reprogramming - Refer to
Service Programming System (SPS)
.
Program Odometer
Important: It is only possible to reset the odometer
reading if no more than 100 km has been registered on the odometer. It is essential
to enter the correct odometer value, as the programming of the odometer can only be
performed once.
Important: Programming the odometer is prohibited without
TIS approval. Refer to
Obtaining TIS Approval
for
more information.

Program Variant Configuration
This option allows you to reconfigure the instrument panel cluster (IPC) from
the default factory settings.
Important: Regular production options (RPOs) are located
on the vehicle security card.
Prior to removal use a scan tool to identify the existing RPOs that are programmed
into the IPC.
