Makes šŸ¢’ Holden šŸ¢’ 2009 šŸ¢’ WM Sedan šŸ¢’ Engine šŸ¢’ Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L šŸ¢’ Valve Lifter Installation

    Important: 

       ā€¢ If camshaft replacement is required, the valve lifters must also be replaced.
       ā€¢ When using the valve train components again, always install the components to the original location and position. Refer to Separating Parts.

  1. Lubricate the valve lifters (1) and the engine block valve lifter bores with clean engine oil.
  2. Insert the valve lifters (1) into the valve lifter guides (2).

    3. Align the flat area on the top of the valve lifter with the flat area in the valve lifter guide bore. Push the valve lifter completely into the valve lifter guide bore.

  3. Install the valve lifter and guide assembly (1) to the engine block.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the valve lifter guide retaining bolts (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 NĀ·m (89 lb in).
