Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling LHD

  1. Visually inspect the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir (1).
  2. If the brake fluid level is at or below the minimum allowable level (3) during routine fluid inspections, the brake system should be inspected for wear and possible brake fluid leaks.
  3. If the brake fluid level is at or below the minimum allowable level (3) and an inspection of the brake system did not reveal wear or brake fluid leaks, the brake fluid may be topped up to the maximum fill level (2).
  4. Important: If brake fluid is to be added to the master cylinder reservoir (1), clean the outside and around the reservoir cap prior to removal.

  5. If a brake system service was just completed, the brake fluid may be topped up to the maximum fill level (2).
  6. If the brake fluid level is above the minimum allowable level (3), adding brake fluid is not recommended under normal conditions.
