Midgate Components
The midgate consists of the following components:
• | Midgate latch release switch |
• | Midgate window regulator |
• | Midgate 25-amp window regulator circuit breaker |
• | Midgate 15-amp latch relay circuit breaker |
Midgate Latch Control
The midgate latches are controlled by the following:
• | Midgate latch release switch |
• | Midgate glass full down switch |
• | Midgate 15-amp latch relay circuit breaker |
Midgate Window Control
The midgate window is controlled by the following:
• | Midgate 25-amp window regulator circuit breaker |
Midgate Latch Operation
When the midgate latch release switch is activated, ground is supplied to the
coil of the midgate latch relay through the glass full down switch and midgate latch
release switch, energizing the relay. When the midgate latch relay is energized, battery
voltage is supplied to the midgate latches, opening the midgate.
Midgate Window Operation
When the midgate window switch is activated to Up, battery voltage is supplied
to the coil of the midgate window up relay in the window motor, energizing the relay.
When the window up relay is energized, the window is driven in the Up direction.
When the midgate window switch is activated to Down, battery voltage is supplied
to the coil of the midgate window down relay in the window motor, energizing the relay.
When the window down relay is energized, the window is driven in the Down direction.
