Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 825833 Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil filter.

    2. Object Number: 825841 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil filter adapter (1).
  3. Remove the oil filter bypass valve (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 825841 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil filter bypass valve (2).
  2. Install the oil filter adapter (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the adapter to 55 N·m (40 lb ft).


    Object Number: 825833 Size: SH
  3. Install the oil filter.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the filter to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  4. Refill the engine oil if necessary. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities or to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations .
