Front Fog Lamp Replacement Rainier
Removal Procedure
- Remove the fog lamp bulb and socket (2). Refer to
Front Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement
.
Important: The fog lamp bracket is permanently attached to the fascia. Do not remove the fog lamp bracket from the fascia, replace only the fog lamp.
- Remove the 2 push-pins (1) that retain the fog lamp to the fog lamp bracket.
- Remove the aim adjustment screw (2) from the fog lamp.
- Remove the fog lamp from the fog lamp bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Position the fog lamp to the fog lamp bracket.
- Install the 2 push-pins (1) that retain the fog lamp to the fog lamp bracket.
- Install the aim adjustment screw (2) to the fog lamp.
- Install the fog lamp bulb and socket (2). Refer to

- Aim the fog lamp(s). Refer to
Fog Lamp Aiming
.

Preliminary Procedures
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Reposition the lower radiator air baffle in order to access the fog lamp adjuster bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp bulb socket.

Tip Remove the 2 horizontal adjusting bolts from the fog lamp bracket assembly.
Tighten 10 N·m (89 lb in) |

Tip Release the clips in order to remove the housing from the bracket. |

• | Upon reassembly, ensure the housing is secure to the retention clips on the fog lamp bracket. |

Removal Procedure
- Remove the fog lamp bulb and socket. Refer to
Front Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement

- Remove the 3 nuts that retain the fog lamp to the fascia (2).
- Remove the fog lamp from the fascia.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp to the fascia (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 3 fog lamp retaining nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10.0 N·m (88 lb in).
- Install the fog lamp bulb and socket. Refer to

- Aim the fog lamp(s). Refer to
