Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement 4.2L

Removal Procedure
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to
Drive Belt Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 4.2L.
- Remove the power steering pump pulley using J 25034-C
.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power steering pump pulley
to the end of the power steering pump shaft.
- Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump using J 25033-C
.
- Install the power steering pump pulley (1)
flush against the end of the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance
of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
- Install the drive belt. Refer to
Drive Belt Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 4.2L.
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement Except 4.2L

Remover |
Removal Procedure
- Remove the power steering pump. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement.
- Secure the power steering pump in a vise, taking care not to damage the
power steering reservoir.
- Using the
J 25034-C , remove the power
steering pump pulley.
Installation Procedure
- Position the power steering pump pulley to the
end of the power steering pump shaft.
- Using the
J 25033-C , install the power
steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.
- Install the power steering pump pulley (1) flush
against the end of the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance
of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
- Install the power steering pump. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement.
