Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 831925  Size: SH
  1. Use a flat bladed tool to remove door sill plates from top of rocker molding.

  2. Object Number: 831929  Size: SH
  3. Remove screw (1) from front of rocker panel molding.
  4. Release the push-in retainers (2) from the lower rocker panel molding using a trim removal tool.
  5. Remove upper push in retainer (3).
  6. Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing an emblem/name plate.

  7. Remove the rocker panel molding from the rocker panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 831925  Size: SH
  1. Position rocker molding to the holes in the rocker panel.
  2. Install door sill plates on top of rocker molding, ensuring that the retaining tabs are thoroughly engaged.

  3. Object Number: 831931  Size: SH
  4. Install upper push in retainer (1), pressing into place until fully seated.
  5. Install the push-in retainers (3) in the bottom of the rocker molding.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the rocker molding screw (2) to the rocker molding.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
