Removal Procedure
- Remove the grille. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the front fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Remove the front impact bar. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Place the impact bar on a clean, prepared surface.
- Remove the bolt that retains the tow hook to the impact bar.
- Remove the tow hook from the impact bar.
Installation Procedure
- Install the tow hook to the impact bar, ensuring that the locating pin
is properly indexed to the impact bar.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolt
which retains the tow hook to the impact bar.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the impact bar. Refer to

in Bumpers.
- Install the fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Install the grille. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
