The rear quarter window system consists of the following components:
• | Left quarter glass switch |
• | Right quarter glass switch |
• | Left quarter glass actuator |
• | Right quarter glass actuator |
Rear Quarter Window System Controls
The rear quarter windows are operated using the left and right quarter glass
switches. The quarter glass switches are powered when the ignition is in RUN or retained
accessory power (RAP) is enabled.
Rear Quarter Window System Operation
When the left or right quarter glass switch is activated to the Open position,
battery positive voltage is applied to the left or right quarter glass actuators through
the power window motor left or right rear vent open control circuit. Ground for the
actuators is provided by the power window motor left or right rear vent close control
circuit through the left or right quarter glass switch.
When the left or right quarter glass switch is activated to the Close position,
battery positive voltage is applied to the left or right quarter glass actuators through
the power window motor left or right rear vent close control circuit. Ground for the
actuators is provided by the power window motor left or right rear vent open control
circuit through the left or right quarter glass switch.
