Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1253074 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the engine protection shield (EPS). Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1347766 Size: SH
  3. Remove the electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1347767 Size: SH
  4. Remove the electric motor actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1347767 Size: SH

    Note: Apply TEFLON™ tape to the threads of the electric actuator motor before installation.

  1. Install the electric motor actuator and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 1347766 Size: SH
  2. Install the electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1253074 Size: SH
  3. Install the EPS. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
