For 1990-2009 cars only
- If removed, apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the shift shaft plugs.
- Using a suitable driver, install the shift shaft plugs into the transmission front case.
- Install the backup lamp switch, with the gasket, into the transmission case. Tighten the backup lamp switch to 44 N·m (32 lb ft).
