J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Remove the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement.
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
- Remove the receiver dryer.
- Remove the condenser inlet hose bolt.
- Remove the condenser inlet hose.
- Remove the condenser outlet hose bolt.
- Remove the condenser outlet hose.
- Remove the condenser from mounts on the radiator (1).
- Remove the condenser.
Installation Procedure
Note: If replacing the condenser, add the refrigerant oil to the condenser. Refer to
Refrigerant System Capacities for the capacity information.
- Install the condenser to the radiator.
- If replacing the condenser, transfer the components from the old condenser as necessary.
- Install the condenser to the mounts on the radiator (1).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the condenser retaining bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolts to
28 N·m (21 lb ft).
- Install the receiver dyer.
- Install the condenser inlet hose.
- Install the condenser inlet hose bolt. Tighten the bolts to
20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Install the condenser outlet hose.
- Install the condenser outlet hose bolt. Tighten the bolts to
20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Install the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
- Leak test the fittings of the components using the
J 39400-A .
