Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1302119  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2, 4) from the following components:
  2. • The clutch pedal position switch (1)
    • The cruise control release switch (3)

    Important: A new retainer (3) is required after removal.

  3. Complete the following in order to disengage the retainer (3) from the clutch pedal pin.
  4. 2.1. Insert a flat-bladed tool (4) between the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) and the clutch pedal (2).
    2.2. Pry the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) away from the clutch pedal assembly (2).

    Discard the retainer (3).

  5. Remove the 4 nuts securing the clutch pedal assembly to the cowl.
  6. Remove the clutch pedal assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1302122  Size: SH
  1. Position the clutch pedal assembly over the studs.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the clutch pedal assembly nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clutch pedal assembly nuts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Insert a new retainer (3) into the clutch master cylinder push rod (1).
  6. Push the clutch master cylinder push rod (1) onto the clutch pedal pin to secure.

  7. Object Number: 1302119  Size: SH
  8. Connect the electrical connectors (2, 4) to the following components:
  9. • The clutch pedal position switch (1)
    • The cruise control release switch (3)
  10. Adjust the clutch release switch. Refer to Clutch Pedal Cruise Control Release Switch Adjustment.
  11. Adjust the clutch pedal position switch. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Switch Replacement.
  12. Check for proper clutch pedal movement and operation.
  13. Warning: Replacement or reprogramming of the ECM, or replacement of the clutch pedal position sensor (CPPS) or clutch pedal requires that a CPPS learn procedure be performed. Failure to perform the CPPS learn procedure may result in personal injury or damage to the vehicle or its components if the vehicle is in gear and the starter motor is accidentally engaged.

  14. Perform the clutch pedal position sensor learn procedure. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Learn.
