Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1866389 Size: SH
  1. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement .
  2. Remove the water outlet tube. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement .
  3. Remove the fuel filter assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement .
  4. Reposition the fuel filter feed and return hose clamps (1 and 2).
  5. Remove the fuel filter feed and return hoses (3 and 4) from the fuel lines.

    6. Object Number: 1335608 Size: SH
  6. Remove the fuel injector fuel feed pipes.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1335608 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector fuel feed pipes.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the fittings to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  2. Install the fuel filter feed and return hoses (3 and 4) to the fuel lines.
  3. Position the fuel filter feed and return hose clamps (1 and 2).
  4. Install the fuel filter assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement .
  5. Install the water outlet tube. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement .
  6. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement .
  7. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  8. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  9. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
