Removal Procedure
  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting .
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1369945 Size: SH
  3. Remove the EGR adapter bolts (8), the EGR adapter nuts (7), and the EGR valve adapter (5) and gasket (6) from the manifold (9).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

    Important: Before beginning the installation procedure, carefully inspect the gasket mating surfaces of the EGR valve adapter for cracks and other damage.

  1. Install the new EGR adapter gasket (6) and the EGR adapter (5) to the manifold (9) with bolts (8) and nuts (7).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the EGR adapter bolts and nuts to 46 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the EGR valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement .
  3. Lower the cab. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement .
