Tools Required

1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting .
2. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
3. Remove the upper radiator hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement .



4. Remove the coolant recovery hose (1) from the radiator.



5. Remove the left upper fan shroud bolts (2).



6. Remove the right upper fan shroud bolts (1).



7. Remove the upper fan shroud mounting bracket bolt (2).
8. Remove the both side fan shroud mounting bracket bolts.



9. Remove the lower radiator hose clamp bolt (1) from the fan shroud.
10. Separate the front shroud from the rear shroud.
11. Remove the front half of the fan shroud.
12. Remove the rear half of the fan shroud.

1. Install the rear half of the fan shroud.
2. Install the front half of the fan shroud.



3. Reposition the rubber boot and connect the front half of the fan shroud to the rear half.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Position the clamp into the original position.

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 6 N·m (53 lb in).




5. Install the left upper fan shroud bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).




6. Install the right upper fan shroud bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

7. Install the fan shroud bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

8. Connect the coolant recovery hose (1) to the radiator.
9. Install the upper radiator hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement .



10. Install the lower radiator hose clamp (1) to the shroud.
11. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
12. Lower the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting .
