Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Disconnect the evaporator inlet tube (2) from the evaporator.
- Remove the retaining nut (1) from the A/C line bracket.
- Remove the retaining nut (3) from the bracket.
- Tilt the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
.
- Remove the retaining bolt (1) from the receiver dryer.
- Remove the O-ring.
- Remove the sealing washer.
Installation Procedure
- Replace the O-ring. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
- Replace the seal washer. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement
.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the retaining bolt (1) to the receiver dryer.
Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Tilt the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
.
- Connect the evaporator inlet tube fitting (1) to the evaporator.
Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
- Install the evaporator inlet tube to the bracket.
- Install the A/C line bracket nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Install the retaining nut (3) to the evaporator inlet tube bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Leak test the fittings of the components using the
J 39400-A
.
