Removal Procedure

  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  3. Object Number: 1400956  Size: SH
  4. Remove the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector (5).
  5. Remove the air breather hose (6) from the cylinder head cover.
  6. Remove the fuel injection pipes  (2).
  7. Remove the fuel leak-off pipe (3) from the fuel rail.
  8. Remove the fuel pipe (4) from the rail.
  9. Remove the 2 nuts and bolts and the fuel rail (1) from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the fuel rail (1) to the intake manifold. Hand-tighten the nuts and bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel rail nuts and bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the fuel leak-off pipe (3) to the fuel rail.
  4. Install the fuel pipe (4) to the fuel rail.
  5. Install the injection pipes (2) to the fuel rail.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the injection pipe sleeve nut to 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

  7. Install a new gasket to the eye bolt on the fuel pipe (3).
  8. Install the eye bolt on the fuel pipe (3) to the fuel rail.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the eye bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  10. Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector (5).
  11. Install the air breather hose (6) to the cylinder head cover.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  13. Lower the cab.
