Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Start the engine.
2. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
3. Apply the park brake.

Are the daytime running lamps (DRL) OFF?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Is the park brake indicator illuminated?

Go to Step 4

Go to Brake Warning Indicator Inoperative

Does the vehicle being worked on have air brakes?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair a short to ground in the coil side control circuit of the DRL OFF relay. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Repair an open or high resistance in the coil side control circuit of the DRL OFF 2 relay. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
