Auxiliary Air Compressor Replacement 4500/5500

1. Remove the auxiliary air tank. Refer to Auxiliary Air Tank Replacement .



2. Disconnect the auxiliary air compressor electrical harness.



3. Disconnect the auxiliary air compressor feed line at the reservoir.



4. Remove the auxiliary air compressor mounting nuts and remove the auxiliary air compressor assembly from the frame rail and the stud plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the auxiliary air compressor assembly to the frame rail and the stud plate with nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).




2. Connect the auxiliary air compressor feed line to the reservoir.



3. Connect the auxiliary air compressor electrical harness.
4. Install auxiliary air tank. Refer to Auxiliary Air Tank Replacement .
