Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper right link.

    3. Object Number: 574900 Size: SH
  3. Remove the heater hose clamps.
  4. Remove the heater hoses.

    5. Object Number: 229937 Size: SH
  5. Remove the hose bracket and the nut.

    6. Object Number: 229939 Size: SH
  6. Remove the heater core cover plate screws.
  7. Remove the heater core cover plate.
  8. Remove the heater core screw.

    9. Object Number: 229941 Size: SH
  9. Remove the left heater core.
  10. Remove the right heater core.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 229941 Size: SH
  1. Install the right heater core.
  2. Install the left heater core.
  3. Install the heater core screw.
  4. Install the heater core cover plate.

    5. Object Number: 229939 Size: SH
  5. Install the heater core cover plate screws.

    6. Object Number: 574900 Size: SH
  6. Install the heater hoses.
  7. Install the heater hose clamps.

    8. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 229937 Size: SH
  8. Install the hose bracket and the nut.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  9. Press the windshield wiper right link onto the ball.
  10. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
