Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 826197  Size: MH
  1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting .

  3. Object Number: 927233  Size: SH
  4. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose retaining nuts.

  5. Object Number: 927237  Size: SH
  6. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  7. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 927237  Size: SH

    Notice: The inlet and outlet hoses must not be twisted during installation. Do not bend or distort the inlet or outlet hoses to make installation easier. Failure to follow these procedures could result in component damage.

  1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
  2. Install the power steering gear inlet hose power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 927233  Size: SH
  4. Install the power steering gear inlet hose retaining nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
