Exhaust Particulate Filter Replacement With LF8

1. Remove the intermediate pipe nuts (2) and separate the intermediate pipe from the front pipe (1).
2. Discard the intermediate pipe gasket (3). Do not reuse it.



3. Remove the exhaust particulate filter bracket nuts (1,3).
4. Remove the exhaust particulate filter (5) from the vehicle.
5. Transfer any parts as needed.

1. Position the exhaust particulate filter brackets (2,4) to the vehicle frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the exhaust particulate filter bracket nuts (1,3).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).




3. Install a new intermediate pipe gasket (3) and align the front pipe (1) to the intermediate pipe.
4. Install the intermediate pipe nuts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
