Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1993616 Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolts and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe from the air cooler and the EGR cooler.
  2. Remove the EGR pipe gaskets.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1993616 Size: SH

    Important: Before beginning the installation procedure, carefully inspect the gasket mating surfaces of the EGR pipe for cracks or other damage.

  1. Install the EGR pipe and gaskets to the oil cooler and the EGR cooler with 2 bolts.
  2. Temporarily tighten the EGR pipe nuts and bolts starting at the oil cooler and moving toward the EGR cooler .

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Final tighten the nuts and bolts starting at the exhaust manifold and moving toward the oil cooler.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts and bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
