Restore Procedure
- Connect the Tech 2 to the 16-pin data link connector (DLC).
- Turn the ignition ON.
- Record the broadcast code.
- Select the Special Function option.
- Select the Capture and Restore Fuel Rate Data option.
- Select the Capture Fuel Rate Data option then press Enter.
- Follow the display screen, then push Done.
- Turn the ignition OFF.
Removal Procedure
- Lift the passenger seat up.
- Remove the 3 bolts and the transmission control module (TCM) cover from the passenger seat.
- Remove the 4 screws connecting the TCM bracket to the right seat stand.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the TCM.
- Remove the relays from the TCM bracket.
- Pull the TCM and the bracket straight out.
- Remove the bracket from the TCM.
Installation Procedure
- Install the TCM bracket to the TCM.
- Connect the relays to the TCM bracket.
- Connect the TCM electrical connector.
- Install the TCM with the bracket to the passenger seat with 4 screws.
- Install the TCM cover with 3 bolts.
- Turn the ignition ON.
- Select the Restore Fuel Rate Data option then press Enter.
- Follow the display screen then push Done.
- Confirm the recorded TCM broadcast code.
- Start the vehicle.
- Inspect for a proper running condition and no DTCs.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tight the electrical connector retaining bolt to 2 N·m (17 lb in).
