Restore Procedure

  1. Connect the Tech 2 to the 16-pin data link connector (DLC).
  2. Turn the ignition ON.
  3. Record the broadcast code.
  4. Select the Special Function option.
  5. Select the Capture and Restore Fuel Rate Data option.
  6. Select the Capture Fuel Rate Data option then press Enter.
  7. Follow the display screen, then push Done.
  8. Turn the ignition OFF.

Removal Procedure

  1. Lift the passenger seat up.

  2. Object Number: 1253381  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 3 bolts and the transmission control module (TCM) cover from the passenger seat.

  4. Object Number: 1253390  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 4 screws connecting the TCM bracket to the right seat stand.

  6. Object Number: 1253384  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the TCM.
  8. Remove the relays from the TCM bracket.
  9. Pull the TCM and the bracket straight out.

  10. Object Number: 1253387  Size: SH
  11. Remove the bracket from the TCM.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1253387  Size: SH
  1. Install the TCM bracket to the TCM.

  2. Object Number: 1253384  Size: SH
  3. Connect the relays to the TCM bracket.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Connect the TCM electrical connector.
  6. Tighten
    Tight the electrical connector retaining bolt to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  7. Install the TCM with the bracket to the passenger seat with 4 screws.

  8. Object Number: 1253381  Size: SH
  9. Install the TCM cover with 3 bolts.
  10. Turn the ignition ON.
  11. Select the Restore Fuel Rate Data option then press Enter.
  12. Follow the display screen then push Done.
  13. Confirm the recorded TCM broadcast code.
  14. Start the vehicle.
  15. Inspect for a proper running condition and no DTCs.
