Removal Procedure
Important: Clean the dirt, the grease and the foreign particles from the hose fittings at both ends before removing the master cylinder hose.
- Remove the upper and lower wheelhouse panels. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement - Upper and to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement - Lower.
- Remove the bolts and the gaskets.
- Remove the hose fittings from the caliper.
- Disconnect the steel pipes from the hose junction block.
- Bend the steel pipes in a backward position in order to clear the junction block.
- Cap the steel pipes.
- Remove the nut and the washer.
- Remove the front brake hose.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front brake hose.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the washer and the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).
- Install the steel pipes to the junction block.
Tighten
Tighten the fittings to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).
Important: Ensure that the hose is not twisted.
- Install the hose fitting to the caliper.
- Install the washers and the bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the fittings to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).
- Install the upper and lower wheelhouse panels. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement - Upper and to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement - Lower.
- Bleed the brakes. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding.
