Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1247598  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolts, the washers, the nuts, and the clips that secure the oil cooler lines to the following parts:
  2. • The engine
    • The transmission
    • The frame rail brackets

    Object Number: 1247596  Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining clip securing the oil cooler lines to the cooler and the transmission.
  4. • Plug the ends of the oil cooler lines with a lint-free material.
    • Plug the openings to the cooler with a lint-free material.

  5. On the LCT series transmissions, remove the retaining clips.

  6. Object Number: 1247600  Size: SH
  7. On the MD series transmissions, remove the retaining clips in the transmission.

  8. Object Number: 1247598  Size: SH
  9. Remove the oil cooler lines from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1247598  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil cooler lines to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1247602  Size: SH
  3. For LCT transmissions, install the retaining clips in order to secure the oil cooler line to the transmission.

  4. Object Number: 1247600  Size: SH
  5. For MD transmissions, install the retaining clips in order to secure the oil cooler lines to the transmission.
  6. Remove the plugs from the following parts:
  7. • The ends of the oil cooler lines
    • The cooler openings

  8. Install the retainer clips in order to secure the oil cooler lines to the cooler.

  9. Object Number: 1247598  Size: SH
  10. Install the bolts, the washers, the nuts, and the clips in order to secure the oil cooler lines to the following parts:
  11. • The engine
    • The transmission
    • The frame rail brackets
  12. Fill the transmission. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement .
  13. With the engine running, check the oil cooler lines and the connections for leaks.
