Removal Procedure
- Tilt the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
.
- Disconnect the surge tank wiring harness from the rear body mount bracket assembly.
Important: When removing the power steering reservoir assembly and surge tank, keep the systems closed.
- Remove and support the surge tank. Refer to
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
.
- Remove and support the power steering reservoir. Refer to
Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement
.
- Remove the oil dipstick retaining bolts and nuts from the rear body mount bracket assembly.
- Remove the air intake bolts from the rear body mount bracket assembly.
- Remove the rear body mount bracket assembly mounting bolts.
- Remove the rear body mount bracket assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the body rear mount bolts.
- Remove the body rear mounts from the rear body mount bracket assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the body rear mounts to the body mount bracket assembly.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the body rear mount retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).
- Install the rear body mount bracket assembly to the vehicle.
- Install the rear body mount bracket assembly mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
- Install the air intake bolts to the rear body mount bracket assembly.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).
- Install the oil dipstick retaining bolts and nuts to the rear body mount bracket assembly.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the power steering reservoir. Refer to
Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement

- Install the surge tank. Refer to
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
.
- Connect the surge tank wiring harness to the rear body mount bracket assembly.
- Lower the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
.
