Verify that the ignition key cannot be removed from the ignition lock cylinder in the OFF position.

Does the ignition lock system operate normally?

System OK

Inspect for an incorrect, worn, or damaged ignition key.

Is the ignition key incorrect, worn, or damaged?

Inspect for a faulty ignition and start switch.

Is the ignition and start switch damaged?

Replace the ignition key. Refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding .

Did you complete the repair?
