Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 229889 Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper assist handle bolt only.
  2. Pull the assist handle forward.

    3. Object Number: 588991 Size: SH
  3. Remove the instrument panel right lower trim.
  4. Remove the passenger knee bolster.

    5. Object Number: 1284869 Size: SH
  5. Remove the relay center screws (1).
  6. Position the relay center out of the way.

    7. Object Number: 1005356 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

    8. Object Number: 1284915 Size: SH
  8. Remove the blower motor screws (1).
  9. Remove the blower motor cooling tube.

    10. Object Number: 1005252 Size: SH
  10. Remove the blower motor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1005252 Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1284915 Size: SH
  2. Install the blower motor screws (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the blower motor cooling tube.

    4. Object Number: 1005356 Size: SH
  4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  5. Position the relay center.

    6. Object Number: 1284869 Size: SH
  6. Install the relay center screws (1).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 588991 Size: SH
  7. Install the instrument panel right lower trim.

    8. Object Number: 229889 Size: SH
  8. Position the assist handle.
  9. Install the assist handle bolt.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
