Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Tilt the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
.
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the high pressure switch.
- Remove the evaporator hose bolt (1).
- Disconnect the evaporator hose from the receiver dehydrator.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the condenser tube bolt (2) from the receiver dehydrator.
- Disconnect the condenser tube from the receiver dehydrator.
- Discard the O-ring seals.
- Remove the receiver dehydrator clamp screw (1).
- Remove the receiver dehydrator from the mounting clamp.
Installation Procedure
- If replacing the receiver dehydrator add PAG oil. Refer to
Refrigerant System Capacities
.
- Install the receiver dehydrator into the mounting clamp.
- Install the clamp screw (1) loosely.
- Install the new O-ring seal. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
- Connect the condenser tube to the receiver dehydrator.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the condenser tube bolt (2).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Tighten the receiver dehydrator clamp bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the new O-ring seal. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
- Install the evaporator hose fitting to the receiver dehydrator.
- Install the evaporator hose bolt (1) to the receiver dehydrator.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the high pressure switch.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Leak test the fittings of the repaired or reinstalled components using the
J 39400-A
.
- Lower the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
