  1. Disconnect the radio connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC or RUN position.
  3. Connect a Digital Multimeter (DMM) from the radio connector terminal 4 to ground.
  4. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

B+

  1. Connect a DMM between the radio connector cavities 4 and 9.
  2. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

B+

  1. Connect a DMM between the radio connector cavities 11 and 9.
  2. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

B+

Repair the open in CKT 352 (YEL) between the IP fuse block and the radio. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 354 (BLK) between the radio and the splice pack 2. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Check for shorts in the cavities of the radio connector. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground or Testing for a Short to Voltage in Wiring Systems.
  2. Repair any shorts in the radio connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  3. If no shorts were found, remove the radio for repair.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 350 (ORN) and CKT 150 (ORN) between the radio and the IP fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
