Some after market products used to increase the gloss of the instrument panel contain some of the products listed above. It is important to only use those solutions recommeded for cleaning the identified surfaces. As a general rule, the following guidelines must be used:

  1. Vinyl and Non-painted plastic - Use vinyl and plastic cleaners.
  2. Rubber - Use rubber cleaners.
  3. Painted Plastic Surfaces - Use only mild detergents.
Open all vehicle doors for ventilation when any cleaning agents or other chemicals are used inside of the vehicle. Overexposure to some vapors, which is more likely to occur in small, unventilated spaces, may result in a health problem.

Notice: To avoid possible permanent discoloration of light colored seats, do not let materials with non-color fast materials come in contact with seat trim materials until totally dry. This includes certain types of clothing, such as colored denims, corduroys, leathers, and suedes.

Use the proper cleaning techniques and cleaners on the first cleaning in order to avoid the following types of staining:

    • Water spots
    • Spot rings
    • Setting of stains

These stains are more difficult to remove in a second cleaning.

Remove any dust and loose dirt that collects on interior fabrics through frequent vacuuming or the use of a soft bristle brush.

Wipe vinyl trim regularly using a clean damp cloth.
