Radiator Hose Replacement Upper

Removal Procedure

  1. Tilt the cab.
  2. Refer to Cab Tilting in General Information.

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4. Drain the coolant.
  5. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  6. Remove the upper radiator hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 209225  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the upper radiator hose.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
  4. Fill the cooling system.
  5. Inspect the system for leaks.
  6. Lower the cab.

Radiator Hose Replacement Lower

Removal Procedure

  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting in General Information.
  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  3. Object Number: 626427  Size: SH
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp from the coolant inlet (1).
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator outlet.

  6. Object Number: 626428  Size: SH
  7. Remove the following from the radiator outlet hose bracket (4).
  8. • The bolts (3)
    • The washers (2)
    • The nuts (5)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 626428  Size: SH
  1. Install the following to the radiator outlet hose bracket (4).
  2. • The bolts (3)
    • The washers (2)
    • The nuts (5)

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts (3) to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  3. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) and clamps.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  6. Lower the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting in General Information.
