Foaming Power Steering Fluid, Low Level and Possible Low Pressure

Problem

Action

Air in the fluid and a loss of fluid due to internal pump leakage causing overflow.

  1. Locate and repair the leak.
  2. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  3. Extremely cold temperatures will cause system aeration if the power steering fluid is low.

Hose or air leakage in the reservoir line.

  1. Locate and repair the leak
